Kazuhiko Nukumizu, an ordinary high school student who considers himself a background character, witnesses his classmate Anna Yanami being rejected by her childhood friend. After comforting Anna, he soon finds himself caught up with a series of girls who all seem destined to be "losing heroines." Thus begins a mysterious coming-of-age story alongside these losing heroines.
